Our school community works together to educate the whole child. While we strive to make sure every child can read, write and do math, we also know that each child has unique talents that they will use to help them learn. We have excellent teachers, support staff and parent volunteers that make up our learning community and we celebrate each child’s unique gifts.

One special place at Emily Dickinson is Emily’s Garden. Located on the northwest corner of the building, this area features mature trees, native plants, a waterfall and a small amphitheatre. We are very pleased to use Emily’s Garden to extend learning to the outdoors and we encourage you to visit our garden.

We have an inclusive environment that welcomes students with special needs and our upper grades often pair with lower grade level buddies for projects and learning. While academics are important, we know that our children must be healthy to learn and our school focuses on healthy habits and sponsors many such activities through out the course of the year. We also invite you to enjoy the tremendous art displays and music concerts at Emily Dickinson. Just walk in the door and you will experience the excitement and instantly feel welcome.
